Abstract

Bioethanol is a potential renewable fuel, because it can be mixed with gasoline to gasohol. Research purposes is to determine the influence of ethanol content of E20 on the performance and characteristics the vehicle engine exhaust gases, by varying the fuel pressure and ignition timing . From the test results obtained, an increase in CO levels along with increased pressure fuel into the combustion chamber, The lower levels of HC combustion more complete, this shows little fuel is wasted. The higher levels of CO2 more perfect combustion. With the change of pressure variations will affect the size of the engine RPM. Where the greater the pressure and ignition timing is then lamdha (λ) will be much smaller .
